Every so often the government or industry bodies put money on the table to help farmers cover the cost of monitoring and connectivity equipment. The programs come and go, the rules change each time, and they're usually gone faster than anyone expects.

Round 3 is open, and we're an approved supplier. Primary producers can get 50% back on eligible BushLinx equipment, up to $20,000 ex GST per ABN, claimed through us.
Applications close 5pm AEDT, 15 October 2026. Round 2 was fully subscribed within a week of opening.
Most on-farm technology funding works as a rebate — for some you put the claim in, for others the supplier puts the claim in.
The rebate covers part of the cost, not all of it. Usually around half. You pay your share, then either you or the supplier claims the rest back.
Buying first and claiming later. Most funding opportunities want to approve the expenditure before a claim is made, very few allow for buy before you claim. This catches people out sometimes.
Only certain equipment qualifies. Each funding opportunity has its own rules about what can be claimed and how much. Check the eligibility for each one to find out what can be claimed.
They close fast. Popular rounds of funding have been fully subscribed within a week of opening. Sometimes the paperwork takes longer than the funding lasts, which means the farmers who get in are the ones who had their quote and their details sorted before the round opened. Less popular ones may be open for many months.
There's paperwork. Different funding rounds have different requirements for information about the farm business. As a minimum, most funding sources require your business details (ABN, address, industry etc.), evidence you're a primary producer, some sort of financials and proof you've paid your share. The supplier handles their end of the claim if this applies to the specific funding opportunity.

We try to be active with funding opportunities to get a great deal for our customers.
The main thing we do is work out what you actually need, and what the funding covers. Plenty of gear gets bought under these programs because it was on a list, not because it was going to tell you anything useful. That's a waste of your money as well as the funding money.
